Basically have been reading shitloads of post for the last 1-2 hours. Lots of solutions that didnt work.
Been able to fix this by replacing the latest realtek driver with the previous one.
Specifically :
Realtek High Definition AudioDriver Version 6.0.1.8549 Release Date 2018-11-02
What you do is install a previous driver which you can find added here.
Realtek High Definition Audio 2.81
This is the x64 version.
Install this one and problem solved.
